City Sports 5K will raise money for the One Fund
City Sports, the athletic equipment retailer founded in Boston in 1983, is organizing a 5K run on Saturday to commemorate marathon bombing victims and raise money for The One Fund.

The Boston Bar Association said Thursday that it is recruiting lawyers who can volunteer to help small businesses affected by the explosions near the finish line of the Boston Marathon.
EMD Serono plans to increase Billerica work force as it ups its US headcount
Looking to take advantage of Greater Boston’s expertise in life sciences, EMD Serono Inc. said in a Thursday press release that it is in the process of expanding its US workforce by 20 percent, with much of the growth targeted for Billerica.
Marathon sponsor Adidas selling T-shirts to benefit One Fund
Adidas, the official sponsor of the Boston Marathon, on Thursday launched a limited edition “Boston Stands as One” T-shirt with 100 percent of the proceeds going to The One Fund Boston. The fun was set up by Governor Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino to support those affected by the twin blasts at the finish line. Adidas, also an official sponsor of marathon organizer Boston Athletic Association, will sell the shirt for $26.20 on its website at www.baa.org and at www.adidas.com/bostontribute.
BioPharm America plans Hub return
The BioPharm America conference will again be held in Boston, this time from Sept. 17 — 19 at the Westin Boston Waterfront, EBD Group and the Massachusetts Biotechnology Council (a.k.a. MassBio) announced Thursday.
