The International Yacht Restoration School is looking to reposition its brand, and the Newport, R.I., school is enlisting Boston ad agency Forge Worldwide to help out. Known for its marine trades programs, the school has chosen Forge as its agency of record. Billings for the new account are not being disclosed. “Now we want to leverage our education model, growing the brand into a broader experiential learning center,” Terry Nathan, the school’s president, said. The UBurger restaurant chain said it has just opened its fifth location, this one a 60-seat restaurant in Faneuil Hall. The chain’s mantra is “Above All Burgers,” and it’s meant to signify that all burgers are made from 100 percent USDA natural beef that has never been frozen. Facing sluggish conditions in its largest businesses, Boston Scientific Corp. plans to grow faster than the overall market, take share from competitors, and expand into faster growing niches, its top executive told investors Tuesday morning. Mike Mahoney, who joined the Natick-based medical device maker in 2011 and was elevated to chief executive last November, outlined his strategy at a New York meeting with stock analysts that was webcast to the company’s investors. Infinio, a Cambridge company formerly known as SilverLining Systems, said Tuesday that it has closed a $10 million Series A investment from Highland Capital Partners and Bessemer Venture Partners, bringing total funding to date to $12 million. Infinio says it is looking to develop software that to address the most expensive bottleneck in virtual environments: storage performance. PTC Inc., a Needham company specializing in product lifecycle management software and computer-aided design, said that toy manufacturer Bandai Co. Ltd. will use PTC Creo software to develop and refine such product lines as its Super Sentai/Power Rangers brands. “PTC Creo provides Bandai with the flexibility to use both direct and parametric modeling approaches for product design,” PTC said. PTC Creo also “helps reduce the impact of late stage design changes and helps increase design agility.” The number of single-family homes put under agreement in January was up 18.4 percent compared to the same time last year, the 21st straight month of year-to-year increases, the Massachusetts Association of Realtors said Tuesday. The number of condos put under agreement in January was up 22.3 percent from the same month a year ago, the association added.
