Steinway hires Allen & Co. to help evaluate strategic alternatives
Steinway Musical Instruments Inc., the Waltham-based manufacturer of musical instruments, today announced that Allen & Company LLC has been retained to help it evaluate strategic alternatives, including the previously announced possible sale of the company’s band instrument and online music divisions.

Filene’s Basement parent asks Cushman & Wakefield for help in evaluating its future
Syms Corp., the New Jersey retail chain that bought Filene’s Basement two years ago, said it has hired Cushman & Wakefield to help Syms evaluate its strategic options, which could include selling Syms.
